Glorious game, seasonal, plentiful, inexpensive and good for you! What more could we ask?!
Picture a partridge roasted to perfection, served with game sauce and bubble and squeak or maybe with cabbage, bacon and Marsala. Roast pheasant with bread sauce and chipolatas. Coarse game terrine served with homemade bread and chutney. Slow roasted venison made into a pie with melt-in-the-mouth pastry.
